Daydreaming About Weird Wednesday at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

Finally - a blog that has nothing to do with music. The "Japanese psychosexual 'pink'* movie" Daydream (1964) premieres in Austin at Alamo Weird Wednesdays, presented by KVRX 91.7 FM, and is more psycho than sexual according to Lars' description. As always the movie is free, and challenges viewers to leave expectations of an understandable plot, setting, and/or characterization outside the theater for about 90 minutes. And I love a challenge. Go see Daydream after you pay $1.01 at The Parish to hear three homegrown bands live tonight at 9:00 (See Sunday, May 13th). I just planned your ultimate cheap date night, so go for it!

Daydream (Approx. 92 min., Rated "R", dir. Tetsuji Takechi)

*According to Wikipedia, a "pink" flick is "a style of Japanese softcore pornographic film". You've been warned.
